she's a self-indulgent ham, who's been sucking since she first met De Niro's thumb. we'll know the end is near when Melanie Griffith learns a few power chords.

While not my favorite actress, I though she did a good job in Strange Days (pretty bizarre flick) and I liked her recent appearance in My Life With Earl. She does take interesting roles (Natural Born Killers, Kalifornia, From Dawn to Dusk) which don't always work, but it least she tries to go outside the norm.

Begs the question of what constitutes 'outside the norm' within the parameters of Ms Lewis's little world.

thanks for the comments. seriously. and i agree with all the sentiments re: ms. lewis. which is why i made clear in my original post my attitude toward hollywood and its various offshoots and affiliates. however, my approach to JL, can very much be applied across the board when it comes to hollywood, over-hyped celebrities (of most any ilk), or big media in general. and just as a point of reference, i do not own a television, and have for only two years of my life, have never subscribed to cable except for internet connection, and watch on average half-a-dozen films a year or less (three so far this year), and mostly ones that i have already seen. you could name a television show and i likely haven't heard of it, or if i have due to it being talked about everywhere, could hardly tell you what theme drives it. i posted what i did because, whatever your attitude toward hollywood and the personalities which comprise that landscape, it's not unheard of that something good every so often does spring out of its belly (and for me that's saying something). i'm neither musician nor music critic in the traditional sense. but i would like to think that i at least can listen to a piece of music and make a fairly decent call as to its merits, at least in regards to its listenability, and for its distance from the crap found in the mainstream music outlets. i found this show to be an excellent hard-rock show, and i posted it here for anyone interested.
